The cervical cancer vaccine ... providing protection against cervical cancer for their future.

Introducing the vaccine

Girls in Australia can have a vaccine to help protect them from cervical cancer.

It protects against the four types of human papillomavirus (HPV) that cause 70% of cervical cancers and 90% of genital warts.

It is available free to girls aged 12-13 in school under the National HPV Vaccination Program.
